END TIMES READING PLAN: Isaiah 49, 53, 56

SCRIPTURE READING
John 2:9-10 The master of the banquet tasted the water that had been turned into wine. He did not realize where it had come from, though the servants who had drawn the water knew. Then he called the bridegroom aside 10and said, “Everyone brings out the choice wine first and then the cheaper wine after the guests have had too much to drink; but you have saved the best till now.”  (NIV)

Read John 2:1-11 Jesus’ miracle ministry began at a wedding, this was not a mistake for this was in the Father’s plan to reveal to us the Bridal message.  At the wedding, the master of ceremony noted that the bridegroom had kept the best wine until the last.  This was a prophetic statement that gives insight into how Jesus leads His Kingdom.  The wine points to the celebration of God’s love at the marriage supper of the Lamb.  He saves the best “wine” until the final hour of natural history when His power and revelation are released in the greatest measure in the context of preparing His Bride for the wedding of the Lamb (Rev 19:7-9).  This speaks of the outpouring of the Holy Spirit at the end of the age, to equip the saints to endure the Great Tribulation.  Can you imagine Jesus sitting at this wedding watching the bride come down the aisle and thinking of His future wedding day?  He may have prayed “Father, I have waited from ages past, can I now begin my ministry to secure my Bride?” Suddenly, at the wedding in Cana, God’s power was released and Jesus public ministry began.

PRAYER and MEDITATION
1. Ask God to show you how He has been preparing you for the marriage supper of the Lamb.  How has He been growing you and changing you in the last few weeks, months, or years?

2. Spend some time asking the Holy Spirit if there are any areas of your life where you are still not prepared for the marriage supper of the Lamb.  Are there any areas of disobedience or insubmissiveness that you need to clean up today?
