SCRIPTURE READING
2 Cor 13:14 May the grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, and the love of God, and the fellowshipof the Holy Spirit be with you all.
talk to Him, it means we have a two way dialogue with Him. The Holy Spirit will never force
us to have a relationship with Him, if we do not want it. This relationship must come out of
our voluntary love for God. The Holy Spirit waits to be beckoned into a deeper and more
continual conversation with us.
We need to quiet our souls, take our foot off the gas pedal and listen. An overactive soul
keeps us out of sync with the subtle movements of the Spirit. We must quiet our souls to
connect with the Spirit’s whisper in our heart.
Five Phrases to Use When Talking to the Holy Spirit:
1. Thank You - Thank Him for His presence in you, tell Him you love His presence,
that He renews your passion for Him, that He is leading you into righteousness, that
He is releasing power in your heart etc…
2. Release Insight - Ask Him to give you insight into the heart of God and into His Word
3. Use Me - Ask the Spirit to use you more and more in the spiritual gifts to minister to
others. God gives us spiritual gifts for the edification of the church.
4. Strengthen Me - Ask the Spirit to strengthen your mind, emotions and speech with His
might. His power is already in us therefore we just need to tap into it. Ask Him for the
ability to obey the scriptures.
5. Teach Me - Ask the Spirit to teach you about God’s will and His ways that He
may show you His leadership in every area of your life including finances, schedule,
circumstances, emotions, physical body (diet, health), relationships, alignment of
people you are responsible for (at home, office, ministry), future, greatness
in God, opportunity with divine appointments, fears, addictions and shortcomings.
Ask that He would establish God’s order in your home, job and ministry.
PRAYER and MEDITATION
1. Spend some time in prayer using the above five things as a guideline. Enjoy yourtime with God. You are having a conversation with the King of the Universe and He is
exceptionally glad to spend time with you!
