BIBLE IN A YEAR: Daniel 10-12 and 2 John
God is so committed to us that He is determined to remove all the things in our lives thatBIBLE IN A YEAR: Daniel 10-12 and 2 John
SCRIPTURE READING
Proverbs 3:12 “For whom the LORD loves He corrects, Just as a father the son in whom he delights” (NKJV)hinder love. There is a huge problem Western churches today with sins such as immorality.
This creates the necessity for God’s correction. Many people confuse God’s correction
as rejection, but there is no rejection in God’s discipline. He disciplines us because of His
passionate and jealous love for us. He will not allow anything to continue in our lives that
hinders the development of our love for Him. So, because He delights in us, He disciplines
us. This flows out of His passion for us, not His rejection of us.
PRAYER and MEDITATION
1. Ask God if there have been times when you have misinterpreted his correction asrejection. Ask Him to show you a specific example.
2. Ask God to show you the truth of what He was doing in that circumstance. How was His
correction actually Him showing His loving kindness to you?
3. Write a prayer thanking God that He wants to remove everything that hinders our
relationship with Him so that we can experience His fullness.
