The Law in 90 Days: Exodus 15-16
SCRIPTURE READING

Psalm 34:8 (ESV); Oh, taste and see that the LORD is good! Blessed is the man who takes
refuge in him!

Is God personally unknown to you? If so, then you are part of the majority of Christians out
there. It’s sad, but true – for most people God is someone who they believe exists but isn’t
someone who they really know. While admitting that God exists, most people do not think of
Him as knowable in the sense that we know things or people. These people go through life
trying to love an ideal and be loyal to a mere principle. The good news is that God can be
known in personal experience. A loving Personality dominates the Bible - speaking, pleading,
loving, working and manifesting Himself whenever and wherever His people have the receptivity
necessary to receive the manifestations. As humans, we possess five senses in order to
experience our world – taste, sight, touch, smell and hearing. Spiritually we also possess the
senses necessary in which we can know God if we will obey the Spirit’s urge and begin to use
them. Faith is the foundation to using our spiritual tools. Where faith is defective the result will
be an inward insensibility and numbness towards spiritual things. This is the condition of the
vast number of Christians today. There is a spiritual Kingdom out there for anyone who has
the faith to recognize it. God Himself is there waiting for us to respond to His presence. The
eternal world will come alive to us the moment we begin to consider its reality. At the root of
the Christian life lies belief in the invisible. The object of the Christian’s faith is unseen reality.
There is no contrast between the spiritual world and the “real” world. We must stop ignoring the
spiritual but instead place it as the place of highest importance in our lives.

PRAYER and MEDITATION

1. Spend some time thanking God that He has given us the ability to know Him. Praise Him
for the way that He speaks and works in our day to day lives.
2. Ask the Lord to grow your faith so that you can see things with spiritual eyes and recognize
spiritual things.
3. Ask the Lord if there is a gap between the natural world and the spiritual world in your life.
Pray that this gap will lessen and that you will see the natural world through a spiritual lens.
