The Law in 90 Days: Leviticus 10-12
SCRIPTURE READING

Matthew 5:6 (ESV); Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they shall be
satisfied.

Jesus has always invited men and women to pursue Him. He has promised that those who
hunger and thirst will be satisfied. This invitation is for everyone, we can all know God because He
created us and redeemed us through the cross for that purpose. He saved us so that we could be
in relationship with Him. Not knowing God is not acceptable for Christians. We must devour the
Bible; cry out to Him in prayer, we must be desperate to know Him, so desperate that nothing else
will satisfy. Our mandate as believers is to know God intimately, not just merely spit out facts about
Him. It’s a living knowledge of a God who dwells in the core of our beings. It’s time for us to lift our
gaze higher, to gain an eternal perspective, and to touch God for real. We must rediscover the God
of the Bible by entering into a lifestyle and a lifelong journey pursuing Him. We must understand
the revelation of God. A deception lies deep in the church today that puts our confidence in spiritual
gifts, abilities, resources, affiliations, etc. We must not be deceived any longer but rather be
confident in God, knowing that we can understand what is going on in His heart. God is crying out,
“Who understands me? Who knows what is going on in My heart? Who feels what I feel as I prepare
to send judgment? Who has a clue about the tenderness in my heart?” We are called not only to
know God but to teach others to know God. Knowing God is more than having information, it’s
about having a heart that can be trusted with the deep things of God’s heart. God wants to simply
be with you, not so that you can do spectacular things for Him but because you are valued by Him.

PRAYER and MEDITATION

1. Pray that the church would catch the vision of being satisfied by God. Pray that we would be
people who are hungry for the Word of God and that we would know what is going on in His
heart.
2. Spend some time praising God and worshipping Him for who He is, for His desire to know you
and for the gift of being in relationship with Him.
