Prophet’s Reading Plan: Ezekiel 17-19
Hymns of Praise
Read: Psalm 33
This Psalm
is a hymn of praise to God. Verses 1-3
tell us to shout, give, and sing to the Lord.
Why? Because of His character
(vs. 4-9); His Word is upright, He loves righteousness and justice, He is
loving and He is Creator; because His plans stand forever and are good; and
because of His Sovereignty and care for those who fear Him. This is why we can sing, this is why we can
shout for joy, and this is why we can have confidence. This is “Who” we put our hope in! The Lord of the universe has His eye on you
(vs. 18)! Those who fear God need not fear anything else. Let’s fix our faith upon Him and let His love
pour down on us. The godly rely on Him,
He is their shield. Because of this,
their hearts are glad and rejoice. The
fruit of faith is rejoicing in the Lord.
